Solenoid-Controlled Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps (AODD Pumps)

The Solenoid-Controlled AODD Pump is an upgraded version of the traditional pump that relies solely on compressed air. By incorporating a solenoid valve to replace the conventional switching components, the pump’s operation and frequency can now be controlled electronically. This allows adjustment of stroke rate and frequency as required, delivering significant advantages of electronic control. With its compatibility for data integration and automated production, it is highly suitable for markets that demand precise flow control.

Operating Principle of Solenoid-Controlled AODD Pumps

  1. Solenoid Valve Controls the Pilot Valve
    The solenoid valve is mounted on the pump’s pilot valve. When the solenoid valve receives a signal from the control unit, the valve core opens, allowing compressed air to pass through and drive the pilot piston to switch, thereby achieving pump direction change. When the signal is cut off, the solenoid valve closes, blocking the air supply to the piston side, and the pilot piston resets, causing the pump to reverse again. Through this closed-loop mechanism, the pump completes its electronically controlled cycle.
  2. Electronic Signal Control
    The actuation time and frequency of the solenoid valve can be flexibly managed by PLC control logic, timers, pressure/level sensors, or HMI systems.
  3. Solenoid Valve Voltage Options
    The standard configuration uses DC24V, but other options such as DC12V, AC24V, AC110V, and AC220V are also available depending on application needs.
